Thyroid disorders touch millions across the world, yet their true impact is often overlooked. Subtle, persistent and easy to misinterpret, symptoms of thyroid dysfunction do not always arrive dramatically. They appear quietly through fatigue, unexplained weight gain, digestive imbalance, mood changes, menstrual irregularities, or metabolic slowdown. These challenges are not isolated illnesses, they are interconnected reflections of an endocrine system working harder than it should.
With this understanding in mind, the upcoming International Conference – VishwaSwasthyam 2026 has been designed as a shared learning platform. Hosted in Mumbai, the event is organised by Future Varsity – Lifeness Science Institute (FV-LSI), this event brings together leading experts and professionals in nutrition, dietetics, sports science, and clinical care. Supported by esteemed knowledge partners, including the Indian Dietetic Association (Mumbai Chapter), AFSTI Mumbai Chapter, Association of Sports, Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (ASNFS), Nutrition and Diabetes India, and SAPEN, the initiative gathers voices from medicine, nutrition science, endocrine research, therapeutic dietetics, public health, mental wellness, and lifestyle interventions. It is a space created to explore together how integrated thyroid care can serve people more holistically, and how professionals can act as catalysts of change.
The theme for this year, “The Hidden Endocrine Burden: New Frontiers in Integrated Thyroid Care” , addresses a reality that many practitioners see daily. The gut influences immunity, the thyroid influences reproductive wellness, emotional balance affects metabolic regulation, and sleep governs hormonal performance. The conference this year aims to strengthen this shared understanding and present practical paths for managing thyroid conditions through a multidisciplinary lens.
A Three-Day Journey Across Research, Practice, and Real-World Application
The conference begins on 7 January 2026 with a one-day Pre-Conference Workshop in Mumbai. This session focuses on nutrigenetics, a rapidly evolving area that connects individual genetic profiles with nutritional recommendations. Participants will learn how gene-nutrient interactions influence metabolic disease, how to interpret nutrigenetic reports, and how to translate research findings into nutritional and clinical guidance.
Rather than theory alone, the workshop is built around practical engagement, opportunities to learn from specialists, and time to understand how personalised strategies can be responsibly applied in consultation, research, or education. It is particularly valuable for students of nutrition and dietetics, early career professionals exploring personalised nutrition, and educators who wish to introduce genetic concepts to learners.
On 9 and 10 January 2026, the broader conference explores integrated thyroid care through multiple lenses. The focus includes:
- Determinants of thyroid disorders in different population groups
- Emerging evidence in personalised and integrative nutrition
- Lifestyle factors such as circadian rhythm, sleep, stress and physical activity
- Gut microbiota and metabolic regulation
- Approaches rooted in clinical nutrition and therapeutic dietetics
- Quality-of-life outcomes that extend beyond laboratory parameters
Each topic is positioned for practical understanding rather than isolated academic debate. Participants will hear experiences from clinicians, scientists, dietitians, and wellness practitioners who confront endocrine challenges in everyday contexts. The goal is not to prescribe one correct method, but to examine how different disciplines can complement each other.
Encouraging Research and Young Voices
One of our key goals this year is to highlight new academic work in thyroid and endocrine health. Young researchers and postgraduate scholars are invited to submit abstracts that explore the multidimensional nature of thyroid and endocrine health.
Proposals may address the prevalence of metabolic diseases and hormonal imbalances across paediatric, adult, socioeconomic and geographic groups; nutrition and lifestyle intervention trials in Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, primary hypothyroidism, PCOD and obesity; endocrine nutrition research; mechanisms of inflammation in chronic disease; gut microbiota; dietary diversity; lifestyle studies including stress, sleep, circadian rhythm and exercise; endocrine disorders and mental health; paediatric endocrine conditions; impacts of urbanisation and pollution; and functional foods or therapeutic product development. Join the dialogue shaping integrative thyroid care.
We hope this encourages students and early researchers to approach their field with curiosity, rigour, and confidence. The future of integrative nutrition and nutrition and dietetics lies not only in established knowledge but in the investigations that are taking root today.
Learning from Experience
The speakers, panelists, and advisors at VishwaSwasthyam 2026 represent a wide blend of expertise. They are clinicians who navigate endocrine challenges daily, dietitians who support patient transitions, researchers who study long-term disease patterns, and educators who prepare tomorrow’s professionals. Their purpose is to share experience, not to stand apart from the community. Every conversation is built on a foundation of cooperation and shared responsibility.
The conference has been shaped by institutions in Mumbai and across India who understand how health education and research must evolve. Their participation reflects a collective commitment to preparing learners, strengthening professional practice, and improving outcomes for patients and communities.
Why This Moment Matters
Thyroid dysfunction is no longer a solitary condition confined to the clinic. It affects metabolism, mental clarity, sleep quality, fertility, and emotional stability. As awareness grows, the need for integrated care becomes clearer. Events like VishwaSwasthyam 2026 give space to evaluate solutions that reach beyond symptom control into sustained wellbeing.
Professionals interested in nutrition and dietetics, students with ambitions in clinical nutrition, educators mentoring future healthcare experts, and individuals exploring paths through nutrition courses in Mumbai will find depth, collaboration, and community here. This conference is about building confidence, expanding knowledge, and recognising that the endocrine system must be approached with respect, empathy, and science.
Join the Conversation
We invite you to be part of this journey. Registrations are open for the pre-conference workshop and the main conference. Seats for the workshop are limited, and abstract submission deadlines are approaching. If you aim to grow your career in integrative nutrition, deepen your understanding of endocrine health, or contribute research to the nutrition and dietetics community, this is a platform created with you in mind.
VishwaSwasthyam 2026 is a shared space for everyone who is ready to learn, question, and move our field forward.
We look forward to welcoming you.
